This is a beautifully translated set of the Spiritual Songs (Dohas) of Milarepa one most prominent Yogi and Saint in Buddhism. This 790 page book contains all of Milarepa's Dohas and it is extremely clear and has only a very minimal number of footnotes. It is one of the few books not by Thrangu Rinpoche that we carry.

"There is no equal to Milarepa in the Land of Snows, or perhaps even in the Noble Land of India. His Hundred Thousand Songs is the light of every pactitioner's heart, the inspiration for every meditator, and the example for every renunciant. This new edition will be a peerless companion for all future yogins and yoginis, inspiring generations of practitioners as it has for almost a thousand years." -- Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche

"Milarepa and his songs have been perhaps the greatest source of spiritual inspiration for all Tibetan Buddhist. For a long time, there has been a need for a new and accessible translation of these extraordinary songs. Christopher Stagg has worked with contemporary masters of the lineage and his translation is accurate, lucid, and inspiring." -- Ringu Tulku Rinpoche.

This is one of the most dearly beloved Buddhist texts and has been translated into over a dozen languages because of its relevance to modern times. This book was written by an eighth century Indian Bodhisattva, Shantideva, and is a comprehensive outline of what it is to be a bodhisattva.

This edition is unique because it contains both a translation of the root text and also a detailed verse by verse commentary by Thrangu Rinpoche, one of the outstanding teachers of our time, in this 265 page book. Other texts have either a translation of the root text with numerous notes or just the commentary with no root text to go back to.
